WE BULK BILL MOST SERVICES
RIS is an independent diagnostic imaging provider, privately owned and operated by a team of radiologists and imaging professionals. Our first practice was founded in 2006, with the objective of delivering efficient, high quality imaging services in a convenient and affordable model to the local community. We have since expanded to multiple practices across the Western Region of Melbourne and Western Sydney.
Apart from provision of general imaging to primary and specialist healthcare providers, we operate regular dedicated subspecialised services such as our musculoskeletal and liver clinics.
Our doctors are highly accomplished and established radiologists, with collective expertise encompassing all subspecialties, and extensive experience providing care and education in major public hospitals across Melbourne.
Our warm and experienced imaging and clerical team are dedicated to promoting person centred care with compassion and respect.
At RIS, we are committed to the provision of affordable healthcare without incurring out-of-pocket costs, with most of our services bulk-billed, including procedures.

Musculoskeletal Procedures
At RIS, we aim to deliver our services with a difference. We collaborate closely with our referrers to provide customised care in recognition of their requirements. As part of the local community, we are privileged to offer our expertise and support to our patients on their healthcare journey.
We offer a wide range of diagnostic imaging services as well as musculoskeletal procedures performed under imaging guidance.
We also operate subspecialised imaging clinics tailored to specific needs of our patients and referrers, such as in the areas of musculoskeletal and hepatobiliary medicine.
Almost all of our services are bulk billed, including musculoskeletal procedures, with the exception of several obstetric ultrasound scans and dental CT.
PATIENTS
Booking an appointment
Appointments can be made over the phone with any of our clinics, and are required for CT and ultrasound examinations including procedures. Appointments for X-ray examinations are generally not required.
What to bring to your appointment
• Referral from your doctor or healthcare provider (we accept referrals on any radiology provider form)
• Medicare Card
• Healthcare, Pension or Department of Veteran Affairs Card (if applicable)
• Workcover or TAC details (if applicable)
• Relevant previous scans and reports
